Thanks Girls for taking part in the Shelterbox event on the Eisteddfod site last night..another bad back moment for me and I did get a bit of sleep nlike some of my friends with us,....4 more nights left...
How people suffer when they lose everything and what a learning curve this is!
You did not tell us about your back! I hope you do not suffer too much for this. Auntie Ed says: 'Be sensible about this. You do not really have to be in that tent every single night this week.'
ReplyDeleteThank you for inviting me. I am so glad I came, and, as you say, you get a bit of an insight into what life is like for the people who genuinely need ShelterBox.

ReplyDeleteWell done everyone - BBC Wales referred to the Eisteddfod Field as a bomb site this morning in reference to wheelchair users etc.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you didn't get the Vibrating Roller as an early morning alarm call.
The site conditions would be luxury for some that I have seen in Kosovo and for the people currently affected by the monsoon floods - puts life into perspective.
As for bad back - tell me about it, any suggested local cures most welcome because mine was sensitive already after recent 'events' and now is 'a right pain' but I am sure the Rotary Insurance will cover it as the surface was not mentioned as a specific hazard in any published Risk Assessment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
