April 26th 2010 Administration meeting

A full day at Court then straight onto the Ty Newydd Hotel for a meeting with the committee. A good evening with lots of discussion and some good ideas going forward into this interactive age.. report to Exec on Wednesday and see what happens to the suggestions. even better even though Martin could not be there in person we Skyped him and that was great as he took the minutes! well done Martin..

Marys Meals is a charity I am delighted to be involved with and have received their magazines etc for about 18 months now..I am delighted they are now sending it electronically and you can have a look before they come to conference at what they do and where....thye are amazing and fulfill the Rotary ideals on Health, Hunger and Literacy.

Meetings, meetings and meetings Tuesday 20th April 2010.

A day of doing....and some more...both work and Rotary...lots done and a great night at my own club committees meeting..lots to do this week especially as Steve is still not back at work! Dr called today and the Salmonella is still present...so we still have to be careful with the elderly clients and young people who attend the salon and we have to get him to full strength. The RIBI conference was great but Steve found it hard going so perhaps we should have left him at home...but  it was great to share the weekend with some of our dear Rotary friends who really care..

Anyway a few more calls to make tomorrow to finalise the conference and thats another one nearly put to bed. The Eissteddfod needs meetings made and more organisation and we need to be conscious of how soon that will be here..so to get on with it....and good news the wedding invites for the day have now been finished and delivered locally or posted for national and international delivery....o.m.g. how soon these dates are coming around....

19th April...mums Birthday

but didn't got o Brum to see her...well Brum is a dangerous place these days..lol...thats where Steve got poorly!!! but seriously...Mum had a good day even without me there...so off I went to Porthcawl to a Membership meeting with the team.. good company and an update on increase int he District numbers...so good night...
I then came home to having to do the bows on 89 wedding invitations! Thanks Steph...and i have the evening ones left to do tomorrow....thanks again Steph! Good job I love you...
so now its 00.34am, blog back on track and now of to bed...xxx nite nite..xxx 

RIBI CONFERENCE

This weekend Steve and I went to  the RIBI Conference in Bournemouth.  We  missed Carl from Swansea Valley club performing in the "Rotary's Got Talent' competition, but I hear he was great, Steve wasn't quite up to late nights yet...bless him xx..but hey wonderful finish seeing Cwmtawe Community Schools video following their involvement with Thanks for Life with the R.C of Swansea Valley. As ever a wonderful weekend, only sorry we didn't do the socials but theres next year in Dublin to look forward to...
I was so proud of our District and Bob must have been absolutely delighted...well Done Geoff and the Swansea Valley team...

Well Easter has gone and there was no Easter Egg hunt....but great news Steve is Home, weak and tired but home and after a few home cooked meal and a wifes loving care we will get that 1.5 stone back on him in no time....or perhaps just a little of it..he did need to lose weight but not like that!!!!

So a week of looking after him and then we can continue the Rotary Journey...ever mindful of Family then work and then those other things we get involved in...xxx

Easter at Nevill Hall Abergavenny

Happy Easter Everyone..

My lunch is I think at Nevill Hall Hospital today...then visiting Steve who is still in bless him...xx..never mind he is now on the mend and was brightened up by our dear friends Roy and Jen visiting him yesterday...even if they saw sights they would prefer to forget!!!..big thanks both..xx

Rotary friends and their messages have been lovely and the family as ever are so very important and rally around...I must be getting old as my daughter has been feeding me and mothering me!  as well as her so very much loved daddy...
We were supposed to make wedding invites this weekend, but we can still do that whilst Steve is getting well at home..

Anyway everyone make sure you cook your food tidy and wash all that fruit and surfaces..or you too could land up in Nevill Hall with Salmonella!!!!
