A very kind and committed President Bill of RC Mumbles lost his dear wife and today was the funeral, A lovely service with a lovely eulogy and lots of friends around to support him.

How wonderful it is to see Rotary supporting their colleagues in Good and sad times...I am sure Bill is safe in the hand sof his friends who will continue that support when he needs it...xx

12th May 2010 - a trip to Narberth and Whitland.

Well its a long journey but worth it to give clubs a choice.
A meeting to ask clubs if they wish to apply for a Membership and Marketing Campaign Grant...Areas 1 and 2 and some from Area 3 invited and some of us are staying for a meal after the meeting with the RC of Narberth and Whitland.

The clubs decide to not apply and thats democracy at work...all in a week of democracy at work nationally!

Anyway a long drive home and time to ponder what had been said and agreed! But a good night of Fellowship and making new friends too.

And Thursday was busy toooo

Woke at 5.30 got up but needed more sleep so went back up...that was a mistake...except my friend Ken phoned and woke me up at 8.15...Thank God. After putting the worlds to right off to work...busy and hated bills to be paid...and hair to do in between...

Home after a nice facial..Thanks Laura...a benefit of owning Hair and Beauty salons....

Then onto the Ebbw Vale Civic centre for a Rotary Eisteddfod meeting...Home by 8.30 but now after doing lots more emails its time for bed....21.51 and I give up to the zzzzzzzzzzzz's

A busy Wednesday...

Well a tiring day.....work and phone calls...then of to ameeting at 4.30 on the new membership and marketing grants available...at the Ty Newydd Hotel. Followed by dinner with District Officers and straight inot DOTS 2...great evening of fellowship and sharing...Thanks all for attending and participating..

Then Home and burn the candle to its end, writing an email and sending attachemnts to clubs inviting them to attend a meeting about applying for the grant...see what ahpppens there next week.

Bank Holidays do mean work...

So a lie in was called for, then onto trying to get my TVR started....flat battery...and still on charge...so no run into the country as planned, Bedroom spring cleaned and some Rotary work done....and then onto a nice relaxing film watch...2012...a film to be seen...

so now back to remake my bed and polish and get ready for the week ahead...

May 2nd Aberavon Beach Hotel Visit for District Handover

Well I can confirm the beef is nice and the apple flan delicious....District Handover is in 2 months time so now is the time for crossing t's and dotting i's and as I had this Sunday free we went for lunch to check we really were happy...

and we are so the invitation to clubs to come to Handover can be sent out next week...few conversations needed first but lets let them have a nice few free days before making calls...so date for the diary is 4th July 2010..Handover Lunch...at Aberavon Beach Hotel Aberavon Port Talbot.

April 26th 2010 Administration meeting

A full day at Court then straight onto the Ty Newydd Hotel for a meeting with the committee. A good evening with lots of discussion and some good ideas going forward into this interactive age.. report to Exec on Wednesday and see what happens to the suggestions. even better even though Martin could not be there in person we Skyped him and that was great as he took the minutes! well done Martin..
